Even though you don't need an iPod to listen, the word "podcast" is the combination of the words "iPod and broadcast." Somehow iPod infiltrated the lexicon and became bigger than it already is. Like Kleenex. Podcasts are audio programs available on the Internet that you can download and play on your computer or portable media player. Maybe the best attribute of a podcast is that you 'own' it. You can almost literally hold it in the palm of your hand. Go ahead. It won't bite. You can listen to it anytime, anywhere, and start and stop as you like.

Nope. You can listen to podcasts on any device that plays MP3 files, including your computer, cellphone, swim goggles, Sansa, iRiver.

At RadioExiles.com you don't need any specific software to listen to our podcasts. Well, you need some kind of software, but you should have it on your computer already. Windows Media Player, Quicktime Player, iTunes these or any number of other players can play it for you. You can even play it directly from the podcast entry if you have flash installed, just click on the show's play button. Or, you can, and should, download the podcast to your hard drive and then install it on your media player, or listen at your computer. Do it.
